i would estimate that this would be perfect for an LCD monitor up to about 21". above that, considering that this thing is 100% plastic, the bottom support beam would probably crack if the monitor tilted too far to either side.

I purchased this room as an accessory to the twin time dollhouse. This product, along with all other critter corner products, is amazing! There are so many little details that you wouldn't expect for a childs toy. I've only used this for my one projector, a Mitsubishi HC4900.

It comes with four legs to attach to your projector that can be moved to almost any position. To bolt do the ceiling the unit comes with two different bolt types, one for straight into the support beam and the other for drywall.



The only part of this that is really difficult to operate is that the unit separates into two sections, the one that attaches to the projector and the other that attaches to the ceiling.



To start you attach the ceiling mount to the ceiling and then the projector mount piece to the projector. At this point is where I found it semi-difficult to install. You have to lift the projector above your head and insert projector mount into the ceiling mount and then hold it there while you screw it down. It almost requires three hands, and I had to use my head to stabilize the projector during the process. My opinions is that that could have been easier.



Also if you wanted to tilt to the left or right, up or down, I found it easier to grab the project mount and pull rather than loosening the bolts. Loosing the bolts was extremely annoying.



All said and done, it works. I'd give it a 3.5 rating if possible, but in the end it was easy to use and I feel secure in it's installation.

Amazon's price is great and their delivery very timely. Once this mount is up and installed, it is fabulous -- well engineered, excellent manufacturing, very "tweakable" for leveling and ease of movement -- a solid mount for my new Pio 5010. So why not 5 Stars?



Amazon ships the product (which is quite heavy) in the product's original packaging (no outer box). When mine arrived, the carton had been heavily taped with clear packaging tape. Upon opening the box -- no documentation/manual of any kind. Went to Sanus website and fortunately the product documentation was available for download -- downloaded and printed the manual. First section of the manual is a parts listing, which given the state of the carton, I cross-checked against the major components. To my disappointment (but not surprise) 2 MAJOR parts were not present. The manual pleads you to contact Sanus for parts, instead of returning the product to the dealer, so the next morning I dutifully called CS at Sanus to see about getting the missing parts. Parts were to be sent out that day -- expedited. Unfortunately, the parts were sent out "ground" and took 6 days to arrive.



When speaking to CS rep at Sanus, I was advised that the 2 bags of small parts (bolts, washers, etc) were all that were shipped with the major components. As I had received both bags intact and factory sealed I believed once the major components arrived I would be all set. WRONG!



As a previous reviewer has noted the retaining bolts for the restrictor/preventor plate were no where to be found in the 2 small parts bags. Again, contacted Sanus and was told the bolts were out-of-stock. Sanus has evidently made a "business decision" to knowingly send out this product without these parts. While the exact parts were not locally available (6mm cylinder head Allen bolts), I was able to find a hex-head bolt at Lowes that works OK.



Summary: While the supply chain failed to perform to expectations, I am VERY pleased with the mount itself. Amazon, the weight of this mount exceeds the carton's capacity to be used as a "shipper" (consider using an outer shipping box). Sanus, shame on you for KNOWINGLY selling a product without all its parts -- the marketplace will punish you for your error in judgement.

Our toddler's play for what seems like plenty of time for me to get a meal ready or do something which requires me to leave them at their table.

They play with plastic food, color, play with Playdo, etc. They sometimes eat there, too.

This thing is huge! I bought it hoping to reduce the footprint of my dual LCD set up, but it really didn't do much since the foot of the stand is very wide.

Having said that, it is a very nice stand though. Nicely constructed.

Customer Review: Well built, but a little shaky

I did a lot of research into dual monitor stands, and this one was by far most inexpensive. It's a pretty good stand: built solidly, well designed, and easy to put together. The screws and mounting brackets are strong and made of good metal. I mounted two 21.6 inch monitors on it and it holds the weight just fine. Overall, it is worth the money.



The stand does what it is supposed to do, but I have a few nitpicking points to make.



First, the whole setup is a little shaky. If you bang your desk or close a drawer hard the monitors will sway a bit.



Second, the center of gravity is over the base of the upright post, not over the wide base in the front. This means that if you push the edge of one the monitors the whole thing rotates at that point. I'm confident that it won't fall over, but I'd be a little nervous about it if my desk were not against a wall.



Third, although the specs say you can mount two 22" monitors, you can't actually rotate monitors that big. To rotate the monitors you pull them apart slightly first, but for my 21.6" monitors I have to pull them so far that they come off the back crosspiece a little. If you're not careful you could pull one monitor off completely (and then the other one will tip sideways because it no longer has a counterweight). Two 20" monitors might not have this problem, but I can't say for sure. They really should have mentioned this in the specs.



Fourth, You can limit the rotation of the monitors to a 90 degree arc. Logically, this should allow you to rotate the monitor from landscape position to portrait position and back. In reality, starting from an upright position you can rotate it 45 degrees one way or 45 degrees the other way, so you can't change from landscape to portrait and back. The little screw hole that limits the movement is just drilled in the wrong place. It's a silly little design flaw in an otherwise good piece of equipment. (By the way, even though the 90 degree limitation doesn't work, you can still opt for zero rotation or 360 degree rotation. Both work fine.)



Overall, a good piece of equipment, but not perfect.

Rustic Log Furniture: The Magic of Wood

Rustic log furniture is timeless as it is beautiful. Many ski lodges, cabins, and resorts have them, but too few people ever think of putting it in their own home, or they feel that it's not affordable for them. Ralph Kylloe in Rustic Traditions writes, "The first piece of rustic probably emerged when an early humanoid rolled a log over and sat on it in front of a fire." Ralph has a point. Rustic log furniture can be anything as simple as a log or as complicated as an armoire. The essence of log furniture is the sense of eternity that resonates with it. It's essentially wood captured at its most perfect time and held in an endless state of beauty.

Rustic log furniture is furniture that is created using authentic materials, typically wood, and kept in its natural form. Recently, rustic furniture has also expanded its definition to include anything that resembles handmade furniture. The term "resembles handmade furniture" is a fancy phrase for plastic made to look like wood, in my opinion. There are some mass retailers that have been making plastic furniture made to resemble authentic wood. However, we'll be focusing more on real rustic log furniture in this segment.

Furniture doesn't have to be confined to just large pieces that you need Paul Bunyan type men to move around. It's any article in a room that makes it fit for living, so this could include mirrors, lights, artwork, and even kitchen utensils. This makes rustic log furniture affordable to attain and easy to make yourself. Even the slightest touch of rustic in your home will give you the cabin feeling without the fever.

There are a lot of resources you can find to begin making your own rustic log furniture. Some of it may be easy and others are for the advanced wood workers. To begin, I would buy a book specially written for making your own rustic log furniture. Once you get the hang of making your own you could basically take any wood making pattern for mirrors, lamp bases, or frames and combine it with a book for preserving wood. Your project may require special tools, but it would be a great investment because once you get the taste of making your own furniture... it doesn't stop! The possibilities for making your own furniture or furnishings for your home are only limited by your imagination.

Rustic log furniture is a treasure for generations to come and when you have quality made pieces, you can feel the love and care that went into making it. It is possible to make your own, albeit hard, but the sensation of making your own furniture brings you closer to nature. The easiest way to acquire rustic furniture is by purchasing it from a retailer that specializes in these handmade pieces, or you could try estate sales. Regardless of how you obtain your furniture, it will bring a sense of warmth and comfort to your home. That's the magic of wood.

Customer Review: Complicated cable manager

This product is great in theory, but did not solve all my cable management problems. Our cable modem was too big to fit on the tiny "shelf", so it still sits on the floor. My desk has a little curve to the top, and is too nice to drill holes to attach the Cable Manager, so I had to use the clamp feature. It is heavy and has already fallen off at random. However, it does encourage you to really organize your cables and get them off the floor.

We ordered four of these chaise lounges for our pool. They are very nice, but the fabric gets dirty very fast. Also, the buttons on the cushons come off very easily. You'll have to take the cushons inside if it rains, because they get wet and stay wet.



Overall, nice chairs, very sturdy frames, but so-so cushons. Replacement cushons are VERY expensive.

The raised alligator logo on the lid lets you know this is one rugged roaster. Made of durable cast iron, the heavy oval-shaped pot is ideal for slow-roasting a turkey, a couple chickens, pot roast, gumbo, stew-you name it-either outdoors in a campfire or indoors in an oven or on the stove. The interior of the roaster measures 17 by 11 by 5-1/4 inches, and the overall length from one integral handle to the other is 20-1/2 inches. The domed lid sends moisture back into the pot and features a handle that can be grasped with ease by a padded mitt.

Before the first use, the cast-iron roaster and lid should be seasoned at least once and preferably several times. This will help prevent rusting and creates a nonstick finish. After washing and drying thoroughly, the roaster should be coated with solid vegetable shortening, such as lard or bacon fat (not butter or margarine). Let the pot 'bake' in a 300-degree-F oven for one hour, then remove and wipe off the excess. Spraying with a non-stick shortening after each use can also help season the pan. Most cast-iron cookware can be scrubbed clean by hand without detergents and then dried immediately. With this cast iron roaster you can do it all. I use it in the oven, over a fire, in a fire, on the cooktop, in a gas grill, over propane flames, etc. We used it for fryin fish, cooking biscuits, roasting pot roast, baking cakes, and on and on. It is very heavy, so be warned. But you can used it everywhere to cook nearly anything.

Customer Review: Best Thanksgiving Turkey Ever

This pan (After a lot of cleaning and seasoning) made the best Thanksgiving Turkey ever... It was moist and perfect and a few guests told me it was the best they had ever had. I had never used Bayou as I love Lodge but they did not offer a roaster in this size (needed something for a 18lb turkey that JUST fit.) The quality of the cast iron was OK and needed more seasoning than a lodge that are pre seasoned but it did a GREAT JOB... I have cooked 2 small chickens in it and they were great as well...
